Jeremy Murch began his career shooting portraiture and fashion for i-D magazine in 1995 and has since shot for a wide range of major clients and magazines. His work has also been included in several books including Surface : Contemporary Photographic Practice and W'Happen. His images have also been shown in several group exhibitions including ones at the Barbican and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Alongside the individual portraits, Jeremy undertakes a lot of larger projects, some of which are personal and others that have been commissioned. These include an exhibition in Berlin on London for The British Council, a BBC portrait project for Lucy Blackstead's documentary 'Bodies' and a photographic story on the production of David Gordon Greens film 'Snow Angels". Some projects are solely portraiture or landscape, but the majority are a combination of the two, that give a strong impression of the people and their environment. His photographs are often noted for the strong but natural presence of the subject, combined with a subtle awareness and well observed composition.
